Rod is an Environmental Scientist who majored in the world’s weather systems and is an ex-professional tennis player.
​
He has spent thirty five years developing businesses large and small. In the nineties and 2000s he head-hunted top talent at the most senior levels for the world’s most discerning, blue-chip companies such as Unilever, L’Oreal, Nestle, Diageo etc.
​
The past sixteen years have been spent focusing on renewable energy and the CO2 emissions benefits of solar photo-voltaic and battery storage.
​​
Outside of work, Rod likes to ski, play tennis and has written 3 books including "Beat Energy Bills and Climate Change".

Jon Clifford-Smith - Director
Domestic Energy Assessor

After university, Jon spent twelve years in the City as a Money -Broker, specialising in cross-currency arbitrage with international banking clients.
​
After a few years at the Organic Wine company he joined Close Brothers Merchant Bank in Corporate Finance, analysing clients turnover and recommending funding solutions.
​
In 2009 he joined Rod in renewables, analysing energy use, skills to good use working through energy assessments, grid-connection applications and cost/benefit cash-flow models for our clients.
​
Jon enjoys squash, mountain-biking, skiing and is a keen musician playing several instruments.

Tom McGuffie - Director
IEMA Certified - Net Zero Pathways
With a history at various levels of management in technical sales and marketing in the UK and internationally, Tom is experienced with TV broadcast, computer software and the energy market - supporting direct and indirect commercial clients.
Looking after international sales for Matrox VITE covering Scandinavia, Netherlands and the Middle East, he then joined Imaging Business, a design and branding company, as Sales Director. ​
Tom has a passion for protecting the environment and in 2013 became a director of an energy consultancy working to reduce commercial clients' energy consumption, CO2 levels and costs - using renewable energy.
Tom enjoys badminton, golf and world travel.
